Work With Us

Something significant just happened in the field of metabolic psychiatry. And I want to tell you about it — not as a news item – but as someone who was in the room when it was built. Last week, my colleagues and I published a landmark paper in Frontiers in Nutrition — the first ever peer-reviewed expert consensus on ketogenic therapy about the use of ketogenic metabolic therapy (KMT) in mental health care. I was honored to be among the eight clinicians who developed it. Together, we drew on years of collective experience treating patients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and other complex psychiatric conditions — and we built a framework of expert clinical guidance that the field has never had before.

But here’s what I really want you to know: this consensus didn’t create what we do at Touchpoints180®. It confirmed it.

We’ve Been Watching KMT Bring Healing for Awhile

Long before there was a published expert consensus to point to, we were working with you, and marveling at the results. Watching people who’d tried medication after medication… finally find their way to something that brought results… remission. Documenting what happened. Publishing our own findings.

A couple of years ago, we followed three adults through twelve weeks of personalized ketogenic metabolic therapy — each of them carrying complex, overlapping psychiatric diagnoses: major depression, generalized anxiety, PTSD, OCD, binge eating disorder, ADHD. People who had been suffering for years. In some cases, decades. People who had tried medications, therapy. And still couldn’t find their footing.

All three achieved complete remission of depression and anxiety within twelve weeks.

In that case series, one of them, a man in his thirties who had never been able to hold a job, was promoted to a demanding new position within four weeks of starting KMT — then took on additional responsibility, then enrolled in three college courses. Another patient, who had carried what he described as “a general pull of anger all the time” for most of his life, found it simply lifted. And a woman with a long history of treatment-resistant depression looked up one day and said: she wasn’t depressed anymore. She realized she was actually happy. All the time.

We were excited to published that case series. It was an important step. But we were also gaining momentum. More clients brought more challenges which resulted in better approaches to evaluation and monitoring. And we kept learning more. Touchpoints180 developed into a sophisticated system for treating your personal biological, metabolic systems to lift you to thrive, and to enjoy your best life.

Our Methods Developed, Our Responses More Targeted

The science behind ketogenic metabolic therapy is effective because of our use of tools to measure, evaluate, and respond. Lab work reveals cascades of changes in your biology as you live, eat, breathe, sleep, and move. The wonderful outcomes we see result from the individual changes we respond to therapeutically based on your body’s biology, your personal habits and routine, your nutrition, and more.

When we see insulin resistance we guide your response to that, or to inflammation, or fatigue, or cognition changes. We also guide you to respond to your body’s needs when you see irritability, anxiety and panic, or darkening moods.

As you know, this isn’t a new idea. Medicine has been using ketogenic therapy to successfully treat epilepsy for over 100 years. What’s new and exciting is what the expert consensus now confirms: that these same mechanisms show real, documented promise for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and more.

What the Ketogenic Therapy: Expert Consensus Means — In Plain Language

Now, this expert consensus paper brought together eight experienced professionals — psychiatrists, a research fellow, a registered dietitian, a licensed mental health counselor — to look at how KMT should be implemented in mental health care. We collected reviews by 47 clinicians around the world who work with this therapy every day. Every single question we presented reached consensus. Most with over 91% agreement!

In medicine, that kind of agreement is rare and meaningful. Just think about that.

What does the ketogenic therapy expert consensus say? In plain language: ketogenic metabolic therapy deserves a serious place in psychiatric care . Not just for the most severe cases, but for anyone with depression, bipolar disorder, or anxiety disorders who wants to explore a metabolic approach. It requires personalized guidance, a qualified medical team, and patience in the early weeks. But the results, when done well, can be transformative.

That is exactly what Touchpoints180 was built to do.

This Is More Than a Ketogenic Diet. This Is a Complete Recalibration.

What makes Touchpoints180 different isn’t just the ketogenic therapy. It’s the understanding that your brain and body are a deeply connected system. And that lasting transformation requires addressing all of aspects of that system.

We connect the dots between your symptoms and your story, your daily choices and your biochemistry, your mental state and your mitochondria. We look at nutrition, yes — but also sleep, movement, circadian rhythm, stress, hormones, the gut microbiome, brain energy, and the meaning you bring to each day. Every piece matters. Every piece is personalized to fit you.

This isn’t a top-down treatment plan handed to you at checkout. It’s a collaboration. A partnership. And it’s designed not just to help you feel better right now, but to give you the knowledge and the tools to keep thriving — for the long game.

Transformation isn’t about willpower. It’s about knowledge. When you truly understand what’s been happening in your brain and body — and what’s possible when you address the root cause — you stop guessing. And you start winning.

Could This Be the Path You’ve Been Looking For?

If you’ve been living with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, panic attacks, or an eating disorder — and what you’ve tried hasn’t gotten you where you want to be — I want you to know something.

You weren’t meant to drift through life feeling exhausted, stuck, or like something is just not quite right. You were made to thrive.

The expert consensus on ketogenic therapy we just published confirms what we’ve been seeing in practice for years: there is a better way forward. A metabolic way. A way that addresses why your brain has been struggling — not just the symptoms it produces.

And when you understand why, you can provide what’s needed to solve your brain’s puzzle.

At Touchpoints180, we’ve been living this work — with real people, real results, and real published research — for a good while. We’d love to start a conversation about whether this could be your path to remission.
